Today on the Tour Guide Africa (TGAfrica) series, we have James Denise, an experience creator based in Nairobi, Kenya, where he runs Claudious Tours and Safaris Limited and leads fantastic adventures. We hear about his business, his favourite African destinations, the finest places to visit in East Africa, and much more in this episode.
Hello James, tell us more about Claudious Tours and Safaris?
We are an East African-based tours and safaris company that has been in existence for ten years. We offer both high-end and low-cost tours to visitors to East Africa and the Southern African region. By providing the best services, we ensure that our clients are satisfied. Wildlife adventures, photographic safaris, cultural experiences, river rafting, ballooning, gorilla tours, deep-sea diving, and archaeological tours are just a few of the tour packages we offer. The cuisine offered to our clients, as well as the hotels, lodges, and chalets where they are entertained, all meet international standards.
Africa is a fantastic continent and an ideal vacation spot. It’s full of breathtaking scenery, incredible wildlife, breathtaking coastlines, and delightfully kind and welcoming people. We specialize in African Safaris and tailor-made packages as a local company based in Nairobi, Kenya.
How big is the Claudious Tours and Safaris team and what’s unique about your company?
We have a team of 15 employees. Our knowledge of Africa is unparalleled, allowing us to put together a diverse range of safari packages to suit both budget and luxury clients. Honeymoon Safaris, Family Safaris, Students Safaris, Beach Holiday Vacations, Mt. Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro Climbing, Luxury Safaris, Cultural Safaris, Bird Watching Safaris, Golf Holidays, and Camping Safaris are just a few of the fantastic options available.
What destinations in Africa do you organize tours and activities to? How many tourists have you organized a vacation for, if you were to give an estimate?
The number of tourists has surpassed 2000. Claudious Tours and Safaris provide a variety of special interest safaris for people who want to experience some of our safaris that are off the main path. Privately led professional birding safaris, wildlife photography tours, great wildebeest migration trips, tours and vacations in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda with a relaxing break on the coast are available.
So, tell me about your most memorable experiences since founding Claudious Tours and Safaris?
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya were two of my most memorable experiences.
When is the best time to visit, and what is the one place that every first-time tourist must see?
From June to October, when millions of animals migrate from the Serengeti National Park to the Masai Mara National Park, Kenya is the best place to visit. Because of the abundance of wildlife, these national parks are also destinations that tourists should visit.
Let’s talk about the pandemic; one of the major casualties has been travel. How has the pandemic affected personally you?
Very bad, and we expect to recover as soon as the travel sector returns to normal. In fact, we are well prepared for the surge in demand that will occur when travel resumes.
In the last episode, we interviewed Francisco Raymond, a tour guide based in Tanzania where he leads safaris and adventure tours at Lappet Faced Safaris. Do check it out here
