Today, we are releasing the African International Tourism Reopening Update for August 2020. Last month, we started building a monthly report to give esteemed travelers updates regarding coronavirus, travel, and tourism in Africa. After months of closure and lock-down, African countries are reopening for international tourism. Remember to do a check-up with the embassy of the country you are planning to visit, in order to get adequate information regarding entry requirements, places you are allowed to visit, etc.
As of the 31st of August 2020, 16 African countries are open to international travelers, 12 countries are opening soon, and about 23 countries are still closed.
